The KidsLife ministry of First Baptist O’Fallon exists to plan and implement programming that will partner with parents to teach preschoolers and children the basics of Christian faith. Preschoolers are nurtured in a safe, loving, and challenging environment that will encourage hands-on concept learning about God, Jesus, Church, Family, Friends, Others, and the Natural Word. The preschool environment, relationships, and activities focus on helping preschoolers build the foundational level of trust, experience church as a happy place, and participate in activity based learning experiences.

Elementary children’s programming and curriculum builds on the foundation laid during preschool years with a clear presentation of the plan of salvation, age-appropriate Bible study to include application, and opportunities for scripture memorization. Excellence in teaching utilizing a variety of learning styles is stressed in order to meet the varying needs and abilities of children. In addition to learning experiences, children encounter opportunities to express their faith through mission opportunities.

As an equipping ministry, parenting classes are offered twice a year to encourage parents in the development of discipline and relational skills. Effective parenting skills enhance the parent-child bond and increase the likelihood of faith and values internalization.
